Perfume is mostly alcohol, which evaporates within minutes and lifts part of the scent with it. Butter and oil do not evaporate. They hold the fragrance against your skin and release it slowly instead of all at once.

Most people notice it through the working day. How long depends on your skin, the weather and how much you use, so treat any number as a guide and not a promise.

Probably not. Dry skin holds fragrance for less time, which is exactly the problem the butter solves. Apply to skin that is still slightly damp after a shower and it lasts noticeably longer.

Butter first on damp skin, oil on top. The butter holds, the oil seals. Focus on pulse points and on the back of the neck, where warmth keeps releasing the scent through the day.

Yes, and it is supposed to. What you smell at nine is the top notes; what is left at six is the base. If you only like the first ten minutes, that scent is probably not your scent.

Less than you think. A coin-sized amount of butter covers arms and chest. Too much does not make it last longer, it just makes it heavier.

Straight after a shower, on skin that is still slightly damp. It absorbs better and the fragrance holds longer.

Same scent, different texture. The butter is thicker and slower to absorb, better in winter and on dry skin. The oil is lighter and faster, better in heat or under clothes you are about to put on.

We would not. These are body formulas with a higher fragrance load than a facial product, and facial skin reacts more easily.

Let it absorb for a few minutes before dressing. Oils on fabric can mark, especially on silk and pale colours.

It can soften in heat, and it will firm up again. If a parcel sits in a hot van, the texture may change slightly on arrival. It is still perfectly usable, and cooling it restores it.

Yes, with every new product. Apply a small amount to the inside of your forearm and leave it 24 hours. Fragrance is one of the more common causes of skin reactions, so this matters more here than in an unscented cream.

Some citrus ingredients can make skin more sensitive to sunlight. Check the product page for a sun warning, and if one is there, apply to areas that stay covered or use it at night.

A quiet spell is common, especially on international routes where a parcel can sit in customs for a week. If there is no movement for 10 business days, send us your order number and we will open an investigation.

If you are outside the United States, possibly. Import duties are set by your own government, are not included in what you paid us, and we cannot calculate or cover them.

Write to contact@restavelo.com as soon as you can. If it has not been packed we can change the address, swap a scent or cancel it. Once it is in transit we cannot make changes.

You have 60 days from delivery on jars and bottles that are unopened, with the seal intact.

Because it goes on skin. Once a seal is broken we cannot guarantee it is safe for anyone else and it cannot be resold. It is the same reason you would not want to receive one that someone else already used.

We cannot take it back, and this is exactly why the discovery set exists. Order that first and you risk five dollars instead of a full jar. If a scent genuinely disappointed you, tell us anyway: we would rather hear it.

You do, unless the item arrived damaged, faulty or incorrect. In those cases we cover everything.

Once your return arrives and we have checked it, the refund is processed within 5 to 10 business days, back to the payment method you used.
